Rhett’s Run is Columbia’s first purpose-built mountain bike trail on the north end of Cosmo Park. It covers 5 miles of sharp hills, rock gardens, and tight passes through the trees. This trail hosts the Rhett’s Run mountain bike race each June and the ROC trail running race in early winter.
While difficult to follow the entire loop, one of COMOTA’s projects is to improve signage and construct several bypasses to simplify the loop.
Wednesdays through the summer we host Honeysuckle Humpday from 5:30-7:00, working on honeysuckle removal, trail trimming, and drainage work as conditions allow. Check the Facebook event for details each week.
