The MISSION of COMOTA is to build, maintain, and promote sustainable natural surface trail use near and around the Columbia, Missouri area. Est. 2018

It’s National Trails Day weekend! Join us at Rhett It’s National Trails Day weekend! Join us at Rhett’s Run Mountain Bike Trail and on the Cedar Creek Trail this National Trails Day weekend!

Saturday, June 6th 8-11 am Meet at Cosmo Bike Park for trail work in preparation for upcoming race

Sunday, June 7th 8-11 Baskett Forest Mark Twain National Forest

On Sunday we will be continuing work doing tread restoration on a section of Cedar Creek trail that passes through the University of Missouri Ashland Wildlife Research Area Baskett Forest. Plan on a good 1 mile hike round trip.

Tools will be provided but feel free to bring your own. Snacks, water, and gloves are recommended and will make the event more enjoyable. Long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy shoes are recommended. We will have bug spray available.

We will be meeting on a corner of S. Bob Veach Road where the trail intersects. Parking is along the gravel road. If coming from Ashland take Highway Y to S. Bob Veach Road. It is approximately a 1/3 mile north of Y.

This is a very pretty and remote section of the Cedar Creek trail. Make a day of exploring by foot or bike by bringing a picnic lunch and planning ahead!
