The MISSION of COMOTA is to build, maintain, and promote sustainable natural surface trail use near and around the Columbia, Missouri area. Est. 2018

Join us for a weekend in the Forest! We will be ou Join us for a weekend in the Forest! We will be out on the trails string trimming, lopping, and removing downed trees. We will meet and then split into groups to tackle certain sections of the Cedar Creek Trail on the Callaway and then Boone County sides of the Forest. We will try and shuttle around to different parts for efficiency. 

Goal- we want to get the trails open for the Fall hiking, running and riding season.

Saturday, August 29th Dry Fork Recreation Area 8:00 AM
Sunday, August 30th Rutherford Bridge 9:00 AM

COMOTA has a few string trimmers available and lots of loppers to use but feel free to bring your own. Snacks, water, and gloves are recommended and will make the event more enjoyable. Long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy shoes are recommended. We will have bug spray available.

COMOTA will provide lunch and refreshments both days. No need to stay the whole time, any help is appreciated.
